Today, 21st December, is winter Solstice (here in the northern hemisphere), a turning point in nature’s calendar.
It’s a day where I love to take time to ponder the awesomeness of nature and the natural cycle, to reflect and appreciate, before the days lengthen and plans for next year in the garden start to form.
Happy Solstice to all of you who choose to celebrate it.
I have been busy in the garden this year, but I will apologise, as I haven’t been posting regular updates.
I’ve still been posting pictures on Twitter and Facebook and I will post some videos on the YouTube channel soon too.
This year, I’ve enjoyed my adventures with Andean Tubers, especially the Ulluco, pictured below.
There have been challenges, slugs have been top of the list of challenges this year.
Yet, my joy of being in the garden, admiring the flowers, enjoying the produce, keeps me coming back, year after year.
Wishing you all happy holidays and a great year for 2017,
Ferris.
